No big name player is signing until after he does.

Chandler parsons cant even get a deal done since Bosh is waiting on Lebron.

WTF is this? How does this even happen

Because you aren't viewing this from an economic perspective. You probably think the goal in the NBA is to win NBA titles, but in truth the goal is to make the most money possible. Having Lebron on your team raises revenues substantially more than his salary costs. It's an even bigger impact than Melo had on the Knicks economically which was huge. In truth the Knicks had a better team before the trade, but their gate revenues were much higher with Melo on the court.

Remember the NBA is a business. Lebron is looking for the best total package(Salary + Endorsements + Organizational Influence). Generally speaking you should never take the first offer someone gives you in business. Always at least ask, "Is this the best you can do?"

simply put he's going to take your team to the finals about a 99% chance anyway.

Because he's the best in the NBA right now. Makes sense to me.

Not exactly accurate. The moratorium just ended, contracts are just now being signed. Plenty of verbal agreements as worthless. Bosh is out in Ghana anyway, I doubt he is wasting a single thought about where LBJ goes because he knows Cavs is the most likely after a loss like that and Wade being done. Bosh wants to get paid, but needed to know its realistic. Houston has just set a deal in place with Philly to get rid of Lin so they have the cap for Bosh.

Parsons' deal is not done yet because the Mavs and Rockets want to know how they will do it. A Sign and Trade would help so as far as I know thats what they are working on.

And its not only LeBron. Melo was slowing it all down as well. With Melo certain moves together with Gasol were planned, either to the Bulls or Knicks or staying with the Lakers. Melo stays with NYK apparently and Gasol is split between Lakers, Spurs and Bulls.
