Obviously he wants to make room for LeBron. Why didn't he opt out seconds before LeBron resigns? They'd be in the same room during these activities. Now he stands to lose millions of dollars.

Dwayne wade deserved the money. He was there for a long time. He is a good humble respectful religious person. Unselfish and he got slapped with a 10 inch strap on cawk.

No you deserve exactly what you can give back. This is the same reason the lakers are going to be a ****ty team for the next several years because they thought giving kobe top money when he isn't a top player anymore is a good idea.

Well the Lakers are Kobe Bryant.

They make so much money off Kobe even if he doesn't play.

This, there's an opt out deadline and I'm pretty sure it's before FA even starts.

Hopefully they still pay him well. Maybe give him 4yr/50mil for being a team player without any real assurance that Lebron was coming back. Still would make as much/more but it won't hurt the team as badly.

this is one of the most stupid things I have ever heard. but not surprising coming from a 'laker' fan.

Not really. He'd make, what $42 or $44 mill in two years, then whatever he could for the two years after that.

Maybe.. I figured he'd be retiring after that. Figure if his knees are bad now, they'll be done in two years. I see your point though.

Still, $50 million isn't exactly chump change.

I mean it's still a solid to give him 4 years. Not a huge difference.

Because hes beta. Let lbj come, take all the credit and then leaves him with his hand on his dick. I lost respect for so many players this offseason.
