I post my pics a lot on IG and FB just about as much as I post on here.

The only difference is on here, people can find your flaws because (although it is hard to believe at times) most on here have excellent builds themselves or at the very least know what a good build looks like.

With that said, everyone here knows I show off a lot, that is no secret nor do I have any shame in my game. :D

But one thing a lot of people on here, in a bodybuilding forum fail to realize is that bodybuilding is also an art. Maybe not so much nowadays but back when I started bodybuilding it was about having an aesthetic build, even in the days of Flex Wheeler when mass was starting to take over.

To piggy back off of what I just said above, I don't think we give ourselves enough credit that we are still doing this, or starting to do this, as older individuals, which separates us from your average over 35 Joe.

And although as SP1966 would put it, this is just another me me me thread, I still say we have a bunch of guys and gals on here worthy of showing off their builds.....

Here is to showing off my build at 50!

Although I'm not quite as lean as I was at this time last year I'm actually at a weight and size I like better on myself anyways and Ang always says this is where she likes me best because it's easier for me to hold which means I'm happier in general.

Being that I'm one month away from my 20 year high school reunion (most of my classmates are over weight now) and only 8 months post hernia repair (which I ate like crap for the 6 weeks I was off the gym) I'm happy with where I'm at. Plus I got 4 weeks to drop another 5-10

http://i.imgur.com/QizYf84.png

And it's a far cry from the fat slob I was 5 years ago. Taken at my sons baptism and he is 6 now

I'll never be big like BH or HighISO (though I won't stop trying!) but I think I'm doing OK for a skinny 50-yo geek who never even set foot in a gym until 3 years ago. I might even say I'm proud of what I have accomplished, though my frustration at not being able to get big gets in the way.

June 2010 (175 lbs?), 11 months before starting to work out:

I am very proud of what I have accomplished, but as bad as I would like to lose more weight off my body the enticement and desire of adding more weight to the bar is still winning. WPC Worlds coming up in November, will see how that goes and then decide if I want to continue on in an attempt for 2000lb raw or finally knock out this body fat.

I don't really like taking pictures of myself, but I did take one yesterday.

I started this about 4 years ago, just hoping to look a bit better, and I've kept whittling at it since then. I am definitely proud of where I've come at age 53+.

Me in June 2010, at about 180 lb after losing 25lb through diet alone, just prior to beginning my first workouts and just shy of my 49th birthday:

I'll play :D Did these first two for my IG.

The first is after my first real cut and my first attempt at tracking all of my food. It was an absolutely great experience. I had been super low carb and re-introducing them into my diet was something I was afraid of. Took the bloat like a champ the first few days and it all evened out. I actually lost just over 14lbs because on the 3rd day when I weighed I had gone up from 136.4 to 140.8. Dem carbs!! LOL!

Wow, what a transformation! You are a totally new man. In shape and color :D

small calf improvement. and believe me they were worse then they look now.
Calves can be a bitch - but your quads are looking nice and thick.

Here you go.

Yes I'm proud.

Holy Crap! Schlubb to Stage in 3 years. You are one of the people I had assumed was always built. I've always been impressed with you, but now it verges on awe.

Had to split into two parts to fit the pics

I'll play :D Did these first two for my IG.

The first is after my first real cut and my first attempt at tracking all of my food. It was an absolutely great experience. I had been super low carb and re-introducing them into my diet was something I was afraid of. Took the bloat like a champ the first few days and it all evened out. I actually lost just over 14lbs because on the 3rd day when I weighed I had gone up from 136.4 to 140.8. Dem carbs!! LOL!

This one is just a look at how different I look from cardio bunny to lifting some heavy shyt for a little over a year. Had to steal a screenshot from my IG. LOL!

This is when I first started lifting. My little bitty bicep.

Oh, and about pride, we have pride parade here in BC. BTW you are all invited, just wear leather and silicone, bring a whip and cuffs things like that
