Should everyone take/ can everyone benefit from BCAAs or are they geared more for strenuous workouts and heavy lifting??

Thanks.

They're geared more for people that have long times between meals (4+ hours) or are cutting or training fasted. If you are bulking they are unnecessary.

Been sick the past few days so my appetite wasn't there. Yesterday I only ate around 50g protein so bcaa has come in handy and also my shakes. If I'm eating enough I skip the extra bcaa

Correct Pre-workout fasted would be a great time and as a bolus between meals 4-6 hours apart

I also add them to my water purely for taste. The fountain water at the gym is horrible!

They're geared more for people that have long times between meals (4+ hours) or are cutting or training fasted. If you are bulking they are unnecessary.I wouldn't even sweat 4 hours. I'll go 8-10 and not bat an eye. The only reason I'd aim for that is if I were attempting to spike MPS.


When I cut I do Intermittent Fasting (IF) and I'll go 20-24 hours sometimes without any food or aminos.

If you eat right, use any type of protein supp, they are unnecessary. After all, every source of protein that you ingest ends up in your stomach and your pal "pepsin" will degrade it to a simpler monomer and they will end up as amino acids at end of the day. Your body will make sure to synthesize any protein it really needs with those building blocks. With BCAA you are supplying the aa directly.
