View Full Version : Will people ever realize that Lebron never played on a stacked team?

1800_Cool_Guy

He didn't have Flash Wade
He didn't have the Bosh that played in Toronto
He didn't have Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen from the Supersonics
He didn't have Shane Battier from Duke
He didn't have the Mike Miller from Orlando

These guys are bums now and shells of their former selves the day they teamed up with Lebron. They are names at best and overpaid. But people keep saying that Lebron joined a super team. Anyone that thinks Lebron played on a 'stacked team' is clearly someone that tunes in to ESPN for all their sports needs. The Spurs are a stacked team. The Shaq and Kobe Lakers were stacked, Jordans Bulls were stacked, etc. Lebron and Dirk must be the only players to lead chit teams to championships. But of course a casual will define a stack team consisting of players with recognizable names. Smh.

It's like the Lakers with Nash, Kobe, MWP, Dwight, and Pau. People were saying this was a stacked team but 3 of those players fukin sucked ass. The Brooklyn Nets, people said they were stacked but they suck ass like none other. People think these teams are stacked because one guy was an all star 5 years ago, and someone won a championship 10 yrs ago. STFU.

2010-2011 Heat would've been stacked if they had a bench cause Wade was actually good then and Bosh was better

right now its cleveland

Wtf, the only reason you say MJ's team was stacked is bcuz they won and became HOFers. Wasn't that Bulls team filled with injuries in the second three-peat.

Let it go.

There is a difference between being a stacked team (putting a bunch of All-stars together) and being a team that knows how to play basketball. Spurs did what they did this season without having to play anyone more than 30 minutes and without anyone averaging more than 20ppg. That is not being stacked, that is being well coached.

TD/Manu/Tony are out of their prime. Boris Diaw was dropped from the Hornets before spurs picked him up. Danny green was a bench warmer in Cavs and played in the D-league before Spurs picked him up. Patty Mills played in the D league before being picked up. Tiago splitter cant even speak english lmfao

You just named 7 legit players on that team not including Khawi. But you dont want to give them credit because of their prior experiences in the NBA. It's a double standard. Most teams would be lucky to have 3-4 legit players on their team.

I don't know what you mean when you say "legit players" but what im trying to say is that stacked teams are teams that have a bunch of raw talent. For example, the Heat team of 2011 had Lebron (27), Wade (30), Bosh (27). That is a stacked team because each of those players are easily capable of throwing down 20ppg every game (lebron being 25ppg). Wade alone led his team to a championship when he was 26 so you can imagine what this team was capable of.

The Spurs team have TD (37) and Manu(36) who are about to retire in the next year or so and a 31 year old Tony Parker. They picked up Kawhi in a draft without any idea of his potential. Then they picked up those other players that were all dropped from other teams or played in the D league. They didnt have talent. They didn't have athleticism. it was just the coach and the system ran by the spurs. If you take Boris, Patty, or even Kawhi, out the of the Spurs they will not get the same recognition they are getting now. My argument is that OP thinks this Spurs team is stacked but it really isnt.

Nope.

How did Lebron choke? He was the only Heat player who actually played well all finals. Wade was terrible, bosh was average at best. No matter how good one player is he can't carry a whole team over a seven game series against a top team like the Spurs.

In saying that i'm glad the Spurs won, better team all year.

This.

I dont understand how people cannot recognize this. People see a name and think of what they did years ago. If anyone thinks another player besides Lebron stepped up this finals they're blind. DWade won the finals MVP 8 years ago. Tbh i think he's hurt and just wont come out and admit it.

The difference was the spurs having a better bench and better coaching. Along with a lack of scoring besides lebron. Spurs offense: ball movement. Heat offense: Lebron clear outs. Lol

Nope.Lebron didn't choke, everyone around him just grew old.

I'm disappointed in Bosh. He came through sometimes but not zhen it mattered the most. He was the only bit of help Lebron had. But we saw this through the entire season. Lebron pulled them throigh so many times and the Spurs are just perfectly equipped to deal with a team like that.

D-Wade 2011 Finals: 26.5 ppg, 7 rpg, 5.2 apg, 1.5 spg, 1.5 bpg, 2.5 topg, 55% FG, 8.2 FTA

Lebron 2011 Finals: 17.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 6.8 apg, 1.7 spg, 0.5 bpg, 4 topg, 47% FG, 3.3 FTA

Yeah Wade really held Lebron back by being better than him and actually looking like he cared about playing in the Finals.

Not to mention this absolute gem of a game from Lebron.

Bosh and Wade really held him back by combining for 56 points while James managed to contribute 8.

you have to really hate Lebron to not acknowledge Wade has fallen off. They deliberately conserved his minutes this season so he could play at a high level consistently, i.e every damn game through out the playoffs. He did not do that.

Bosh is rarely consistent but he picked it up toward the end and looked more like his 2011 form so i can't really blame him much if at all.

Still stand by that the Heat when everyone is healthy and playing at their best they are the best team in the league but each season after 2011 that occurred less and less until now you are lucky to get elite production from anyone consistently (on offense and defense), including Lebron.

No one's throwing any one under the bus, they did it to themselves. Obviously on paper they are stacked, but they sure as hell didn't play like it this series. Brb bricking open looks, brb missing at the rim (wade), brb not moving without the ball and just staring at LeBron dribble. The whole "heat are stacked" argument doesn't work if they play like trash.

Doubt it. Bosh is a perimeter player. Hardly the rebounder he once was. If he grabs boards is because they bounced his way or his team lacks any decent rebounders.

Wade hasn't had knees the past 3 seasons.

Bosh is still perfectly fine as a rebounder. The Heat use him to blitz pick and rolls on defense leaving him out on the perimeter and away from a ton of defensive rebounding opportunities. Put him on a team that doesn't use him that way and he'll be fine. Not to mention that they have him parked on the perimeter mostly on offense, leaving him without many offensive rebounding chances.

I swear I don't think any Heat fan actually understands basketball or logic.
