Dirty bulking: consuming >20% over TDEE = excessive fat gains.
Clean bulking: consuming ~10% to ~20% over TDEE = sufficient caloric surplus to optimize muscle development without unnecessary increase in body fat.

Pro's: IMHO Strength gain's come quicker, and you get to eat whatever you want, no regard for caloric intake.

Cons: Excessive fat gains, longer cut.

If I didn't care about my self image, I would dirty bulk all the time.
