MJ did destroy the Bobcats. They should dump him before they go back to the Hornets.

People like Jalen and Bill Simmons don't actually know **** about what it takes to win NBA games. They spew the same mainstream garbage you'll find across all mediums to appease to conventional wisdom.

With that said, I don't think anyone predicted the Bobcats to do as well as they did.

So after watching the video all the way through, they didn't really say that much wrong given the circumstances.

1. Charlotte had a horrible defense the previous year.
2. The signed Big Al which would help with some offensive deficiencies but still didn't fix the defense.
3. Unproven new head coach who had only ever been an assistant.

There was good reason for their doubts. I'm pretty sure most people didn't expect the Bobcats to make the playoffs.

I'd say NOBODY outside of blind Bobcats homers (if there are any) thought this team would make it to the playoffs.

Bill Simmons live blog on the Westbrook pick -
"Andy Katz tells us Seattle is keeping the No. 4 pick. Unfortunately, Seattle isn't keeping its team. Anyway, the Sonics pull a minor shocker by taking Russell Westbrook. Loved his potential, loved him all season ... but even I can't defend that one. "Who would have thought last year at this time that Russell Westbrook would have been the fourth pick in this draft?" Bilas asks. Last year? What about last week? What about five minutes ago? How does Seattle pass on Kevin Love there?"

Simmons on the Harden pick-
""He's battled asthma since he was a child," Scott tells us. How does Rubio drop to No. 4? How?!? I feel like I'm gonna pass out. I like Harden as a glue-character guy and he definitely has a good porn name. But considering the Zombies have to worry about Durant fleeing in a couple of years, wasn't it in their best interests to find him an unselfish guard who's immensely fun to play with and was put on the earth to get Durant easy baskets? Big mistake."

Oh lawd.
Imagine a lineup of
Jackson
Harden
Durant
Love
Ibaka

That team would definitely get past the 1st round.

Yeah, that's what i'm saying. OP acts like what these guys were saying was so outlandish, but at the time it was all very logical thinking.

Exhibit A: Bill Simmons confirmed as a fukin retard.

Rubio pick i actually understand because he was VERY highly regarded coming into the league. He was touted as the next Pistol Pete.

The fact that he'd take Love over Westbrook is laughable at best. Love had pretty much already hit his ceiling, and Westbrook still hasn't hit his. Guys that are that freakishly athletic come along about once a decade. You don't pass on that.
