I really like the way they look and I would love a pair of great quality headphones for when I'm listening to music while I'm on my computer or watching TV/movies(etc..) on my computer. I'm trying to justify spending almost $250 on headphones here.. can anyone give their own review?

They go on sale for way cheaper than that. Just set up a slickdeal alert for them and wait for the next deal to pop up

I own the 558's, the step below those, and love them. Great for gaming and movies.

Quality Headphones. Get a decent Microphone (Snowball) to go with them and you're set.

$250 is a price worth paying for a decent pair of headphones, but I'd try and snap up a deal on them too to save you some $$

After 150$ it's not the sound quality you pay for imo, but rather choosing two out of three (bass, mids, treble), and additional stuff like build quality, comfort etc.. There are of course headphones that are completely neutral like the hd 800, but it's not like they are really better. What kind of music do you listen to?

dunno about the 598, but I bought my HD 380 Pros for under 100 on Amazon and I love them.

i got HD 555s for 200 a few years ago, they broke after a year or two then I got HD 201s for about $30 and they seem just as good

I own em and honestly I cannot listen with anything else. I'm spoiled, the sound on it is absolutely biuriful. Would buy over and over again forever/10.

Sure SRH840'S are in my opinion the best reasonably priced headphones. They have a very even and wide frequency response, and can be had for around $199 or less.

seconded. If you do the research I think you will find more people raving about these headphones than any others within the price range. I don't know much about audiophile stuff but when im listening to music through these it just sounds ****ing amazing, I can hear every subtle nuance of the song which isn't surprising I suppose because they are studio headphones afterall. But don't let that fool you, they are great headphones for casual listening albeit slightly bulky. I have read countless threads of people stressing how these can seriously compete with 500+ dollar headphones. They are neutral so probably not the best if you listen to a lot of hip hop or EDM but for my taste they have plenty of bass.

cliffs: spent countless hours researching before I bought these headphones and I was left with the general impression that these are the best in the price range.

Appreciate this reply, I was thinking of getting some new headphones for that price range and you've saved me doing the research.

I have the 595s... have had them for maybe 3-4 year and I bought them used. Holy **** can I tell you that these are THE BEST headphones to use in conjunction with a clip-on mic. There is no better headphone in terms of sound/comfort/price/durability.

I use to wear them for like 5-6 hours gaming and they wouldn't get uncomfortable - I'd forget they're even on my head.

Definitely top tier headphones, must buy10/10

Great cans if you're not a bass head.

I have the 595's which is exact same build and let me tell you.. I used to wear them for 8 hours a day at a data entry job I worked in college and I would literally forget I had them on they are so comfortable. You won't beat it.

And as far as sound quality goes they sound crystal clear. My only complaint would be if you enjoy hip hop they do not provide much bass, and they also leak a sh!t ton of sound so if you are around people expect them to know what you are listening to.

But as far as sound quality I highly recommend sennheiser brah

I have the Sen hd360. Really good comfy headphones, only thing I wish was it had a little more base.

Which is it, top range or best bang for your buck? They are solid head phones but there are quite a few that are better out there.

Got them sat on my work desk infront of me. Owned them almost 2 years, nice set of headphones.

I'm sure there's a lot of other good choices around the same price-point, but you sure won't feel you've wasted your money if you buy a pair of these.
