overpriced, also add $$ for a keyboard. nice machine though. Was debating on a surface pro 2 until I saw this

6h battery, ivy bridge (vs haswell in sp2), 4GB RAM, 11.6" 1080p IPS, 128GB SSD, back 5mp, front 2mp cameras, real keyboard dock

is the drive SSD?

I'd go for it if it was SSD and better screen (2k resolution)

yes, the surface pro has a replaceable msata if you have the patience to open it.

youre comparing a refurbished ivey bridge with a new haswell

com'on now. all things considered the ivey bridge isnt even that much cheaper.

id jump on this if i didnt already get a 8inch atom 3740D tablet for 170. (free office was too hard to pass up)

ya but be aware that the 709 price is for 64gb/4gig

then 256/512 upgrades to 8gig. before price drop the surface pro 2 was ridiculously priced. after the price drop it looks like a decent value.

tablets are good for travel/presentations :3

I agree, but the bigger screen with better battery life than the original surface pro is nice. Plus I like having the wacom pen silo built into the tablet. And these are almost all confirmed new-returns. My tablet was essentially brand new, with 1 cycle on the battery.

I really like the surface pro 2 though, but it's twice as expensive as the samsung after buying a wannabe keyboard cover for almost no performance benefit aside from battery life. It is a more solidly built machine too, as we all know how samsung loves their plastics.

yeah that's a pretty good price drop. Does that mean they're planning on releasing a new tablet? Surface Pro 3?

I see the Surface RT got a price cut too. It's dirt cheap now. (nvm, just noticed it says "refurbished")
