I shaved my head over the weekend, was a little worried about what my new company would think of me bald with a goatee, but I got more compliments (especially from the women) than I thought.

My boss said the look "fit" me so I am good :D

My bald head :D :D

I'm receding and slowly going crown bald. I haven't razor shaved in years but do use the hair clippers with no guard every week or so. Does this count?

Pulling off the look well, Highiso.

I'm still a 2 or 3 guard when I shave it.

Lol, thanks, you obviously have enough hair to pull off the 2-3 guard. I stopped using those when I hit about 30. Back then losing my hair upset me, now not a single is given, however if they found a cure for baldness I'd jump right on that. I look much younger with hair. :(

How old are you?

I kind of want to do the Chuck Liddell hawk-cut but not sure it would fly at the office.

I went into a hair salon to get my hair cut about 4 years ago. I got charged 30 bucks, and looked at my hair going buh bye so i decided I would never waste that money again. Now I just spend 20 dollars a year to buy a new shaver! I use trimmers than I straight razor the stubble!

Just turned 42 in April. The hawk cut probably not a good idea for a professional. :D

Highso I shave my head for looks as I am not going bald, at least not right now. I do however have a receding hair line but it has been the same since I was 30 or so. I first shaved my head when I was diagnosed with Tinnitus.

All I got left is the buzz man. If I let it grow in I get that glaring bald spot in the back. If I keep it very, very short it disguises it a little, for the time being only though. :(

I don't know, I like it. You can use other blades than the ones they sell too if it's the blade you don't like. But I like the headslick gel and the tool that holds the blades. Just makes it easier for me.

Mine was in 2005 and the only reason I did it was because I was getting a haircut and the back got messed up. So I just ended up shaving it all off and the wife and I liked it. Then I got deployed and it was easy to maintain so i just kept it that way for years. Within the last few years I stopped shaving it with a razor and used just some clippers but now going back to the razor for the summers at least.

Dark skin people/black people all look good with bald heads. Light skin people/white people not so much.

One of the reasons I do it in the summer is because I tan really well and it looks good.

BH, I think you look a lot younger with the shaved head. Even with the gray in your goatee you look in your 30's.

When I first starting reading the O35, you had a shaved head because of tinnitus. Then you grew it out again, I thought it looked funny, and you looked older because it's kind of an old man hair style you had going on.

When I shaved my head due to the tinnitus I didn't think I looked bad, but I also was working exclusively from home and did not have to meet any of the executives on a daily basis. When my company laid me off in Nov of last year I started growing my hair back for interviews as I had to have the "look". Going into an interview with a bald head and goatee I don't think anyone (at least in the industry that I am in) would have given me a second opportunity,

I know some might disagree with me on this but, a Puerto Rican from the Bronx, interviewing for an executive position has to "look" the part as getting a second chance for a first impression doesn't work, no matter how much experience I bring to the table.

Once I am in and show the quality of my work then appearance is second.

I first shaved my head in 94. I grew my hair back this winter for the first time since then. I couldn't take it any more in March and trimmed it into a mohawk for a while. Couldn't take any of it any more and shaved it bald last weekend. After having hair so long this winter it looks and feels kinda weird to me now.

I just shave it down with clippers, no guard.
