The Cleveland Browns are exhausting all their quarterback options, and it has been fascinating to watch that process unfold.

Having released Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden, and with Brian Hoyer coming off a torn ACL, the Browns need quarterbacks. Plural.

They apparently are looking under every rock, including trying to see if Vince Young has anything left in the tank. Young and NFL journeyman Tyler Thigpen are among the players the Browns are bringing in for tryouts at their upcoming minicamps. Browns GM Ray Farmer confirmed the news on Monday, relayed here by the Akron Beacon Journal.

The Browns very well might draft a quarterback, and they have the ammo three of the top 35 picks in the draft, including two first-rounders (Nos. 4 and 26 overall) with which to do so.

But they also appear quite intrigued with Young, who this even surprised us turns 31 in a few weeks.

Good idea IMO. There's no downside to seeing if he's in NFL shape. Best case, he looks good enough to start and you use your big picks for other needs. Worst case, he's out of shape and gets cut.

If this is just an insurance policy for Manziel, I can fap to it. If not, plz fcking go Cleveland.

For Cleveland's sake I hope they are signing him as an emergency qb to scrimmage/scheme against before playing mobile qbs (i.e. RG3 week 2).

Cleveland needs to draft at 4/26/35 or stick with Hoyer while they develop a mid round qb. Even if they don't pick a qb at 4 one of the top qbs will be there at 26.

The Browns have the pieces....Stud left tackle, elite receiver, quality tight end. Out of all the qb thirsty teams I think this is the ideal team for a young qb to have success on (Oak, Jax, Min, TN).
