How much did you pay? What are you getting out of the overclock?

I payed $250, could of found it cheaper but cbf, also sold my old GPU so wanted to buy one quick, and the dude at the shop told me its factory overclocked from around 900Mhz to 1000Mhz. (A safe overclock)
I can overclock it way more though!

Those Aussie prices hurt. You should be able to get 1100mhz core 1500mhz memory out of that card easily on stock voltage.

A lot of our electronics/hardware are expensive compared to the states :(
How much would you pay for the same card in the states?

Awesome, should I use MSI Afterburner?

The 280X is around 370 in Australia, and even if I bought it online I think the shipping would phuck me over like it always does.

If your monitor was 4k resolution you would be getting 5fps with that card.

The video you linked is a 290x bro.

Nice Brah. I just got my MSI R9 270 2gb in the mail from EBay today, just popped it in.

Paid $130 including shipping and the card is mint. I came from a GTX 650ti, so this card is a huge upgrade at 1080p. First thing I bored up was AC IV, game is fuking gorgeous.

bought a sapphire 2gb r7-260x last week for $140. when overclocked it performs as well as a stock r7-270 and runs everything smoothly even with my poverty setup (fx-6300 @ 4.8ghz). was looking at the 270x but it was out of my price range.

Why'd you buy a card that has 4GB Vram but only a 256 bit bus lol

FX6300's OC like a champ. Mine is 4.8ghz at 1.416v. Could probably push it more but I don't care about an extra 1 fps for the heat.

This. The card is nowhere near powerful enough to warrant 4GB of VRAM. Not to rain on your parade since you're obviously excited, but the 270x lacks oomph.
