It's actually hard to explain how much better 1440p is than 1080p. You have to see it for yourself.

1440p looks unbelievable.

BLOPS2 and games that arent graphically intensive: 2560 x1440
Games that are graphically intensive: 1920x2080, only because my GPU can't handle it.

Everything is so so crisp and amazing looking that you have to see to believe, To give you an Idea Bioshock which is 7 years old, @ 2560x1440 looks like a next gen game.

One card one may be all you need. Also keep in mind that at 2560x1440. AA you can turn off and it still looks way better than 1080p with AA on. All these benchmarks are done on max settings with AA on....you dont need it, so that saves alot of power.

1 1440p you'll be fine.

running a 670 and i5 2500k @ 4.6Ghz, you guys think I could get away with an upgrade to a korean 1440p monitor and still play games like arma and battlefield on pretty high graphics?

Assuming you buy a high end card like a 780, would you be able to run graphically intensive games at 1440p and a solid frame rate ( steady 60fps or higher?)

1440p. The jump from 1080p 60Hz to 1440p 120Hz is mind-blowing.

Custom dpi. For 2560*1440 I set it to 112% so icons and text isn't too small to read. Experiment with it and find the best setting for you

Right now just 1080p on one monitor. I will probably put my third monitor back up and go for 5760x1080p again soon.

It would be easier to run one 1440 over two 1080s. I don't think 2 680s can run 2 1440s unless you want to play at 20fps. My one 780 is just barely enough for 1440. But in a year I will get another 780 once they're cheap.

Yea, I have a 780 and 1440p 120hz. I run BF4 with everything on Ultra except MSAA I think and I get a solid 65-70FPS on average, I could turn down a couple things and get the frames higher if I wanted.

1080p to my 50"panny plasma with surround sound. I don't like gaming on tiny monitor, only time i game with monitor is if I must play with mouse/kb. For my viewing distance, I think 65" plasma would be perfect. PS4 pushing only 1080p and I'm fine with pc 1080p.

but keep in mind that if you go with the 760 you probably won't be able to play most newer games on the highest setting with a 760.
