Kobe would never allow this to happen. Durant is a poor mans James harden, Relies on the refs to give him freebies. To bad it doesn't work in the playoffs. He is a beast in the regular season though.

At least if harden shooting bad he can give you playmaking. Durant sucks as a passer and can't run the pick and roll. You mad?

this game simply exemplifies why KD is not the best player in the game despite winning the MVP.
if your shots arent falling, you have to be able to contribute to your team in diff facets of the game

this, obviously no one is going to deny is he is probably the best scorer but that doesnt mean he is the best player.

James does so much to impact the game even if his shots are falling, he can pass, rebound into the high teens and even play defense on the best player down the stretch.

Still pulled down the boards, besides, it's not like he scored 8 points in a Finals game or something.

Obviously LeBron's collapse is unmatched.

But, if you watched the game, you know that he didn't have any "key" rebounds down the stretch.
ONE rebound in the 4th and OT combined.

This was the first time i've seen Durant like he was today. He was just sulking in the corner for the 4th quarter and overtime, hoping Reggie Jackson would lead OKC to victory. It was the most timid display i've seen from a star player in a long, long time.

It was the most timid display i've seen from a star player in a long, long time.He was down and it isn't the first time. Clearly you haven't watched him against the Lakers when Artest was guarding him and he was missing a lot then too. He kept shaking his head every time he missed.

No doubt he is playing horrible. But lets not act like other stars recently haven't had bad series and no it wasn't long, long time ago. Hopefully KD can follow LBJ in the sense that he was able to over come a horrible start to a series like last years finals.

Also this. I don't see this as some huge setback for the thunder, as I believe the grizzlies to be their absolute toughest matchup in the west. If they get past this series, they still have as good a shot as anyone.

ya thats why KD averages more rebounds.... and barely less assists than LeFlop, seems logical

just great defense by Tony Allen, and Memphis, nobody is giving them credit.

That feel when Lebron actually has a higher rebound rate than KD.

That feel when Lebron has to average near career low in assists while OKC loses their point guard for KD to even get within 20% of his season average. Lol @ career averages

As do the Grizzlies. Griz have been one of the top 3 defenses over these 3 year's Kd's played against them in the playoffs.

Yeah except the stats you want to praise have him playing a paltry 14 minutes per game vs LeBron.

Compared to the 32 31 33 and 35 minute outings Allen has had vs Durant.

Don't be a retard. One of those guys is being ACTUALLY COVERED BY ALLEN all game. The other guy is mostly being guarded by team shading and Paul Pierce, because Allen is far less effective vs a physical player like LeBron, whereas he can actually dictate positioning vs Durant who is a 6 10 jumpshooter who is no threat in the post.

Even though his shots been off KD's still finding other ways to contribute and help his team win games. Dude's averaging 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and over 2 blocks a game to add his 29 point a game. Just his presence helps open up things for other guys; ie Reggie Jackson

Shot is not off, it's being massively bothered by a great defender. Durant has no idea how to deal with someone faceguarding him, and he's not even CLOSE to strong or athletic enough to muscle his way past Allen so he settles for horrible contested jumpers over the top.

To the dude who posted the LeBron vs Tony Allen stats, no one mentioned LeBron. They're 2 different types of players and tonys d will effect them differently. The pic actually has zero relevance, considering okc is a completely iso offense.

Good points. That's why KD's got to hit the weights hard over the summer and bulk up so he can build up a legit post game.
