The One Plus One phone just announced and available this quarter.

This phone matches or surpasses the HTC One, Galaxy S5, Iphone 5S and every other high end phone on the market - at half the price. $299 for 16gb and $350 for 64 GB.

Has 3 GB Ram, 1920 x 1080 LCD screen, Sony Dual Flash 13 MP Camera, latest snapdragon 801 processor 2.5 ghz and a whopping 3,100 mah battery. They didn't skimp on anything. Every single compnent is the latest and high end.

Secondly it runs on Cyanogen Mod which is basically the latest Google Android OS, but optimized even more for more battery life and smoothness. None of that carrier or Touchwiz bloatware.

For those that don't know about rooting, Cyanogen Mod is the the OS that everyopne roots on their phone to get rid of all that crapware on your phone. But with this, you don't need to root or anything. It autoupdates, etc.

And the best thing of all, it's at an insanely cheap $350 for 64 GB. Compare this to a $800 Iphone 6 comi9ng out that is rumored to not even have a 1920x 1080 resolution.

Every single tech site is going crazy over this phone. Also, you can swap out the back cover and customize similar to Motorola phones.

I hope this is the beginning of reduced phone prices.

Sick of this Apple and Samsung etc releasing a phone for $1,000 with a better one coming out the following year - or in 6 months time if it's an iphone. Worst part is it's not even like the phones maintain their quality. I had a nokia 3315 for like 4 years, couldn't tell the difference between it straight out of the box, and 4 years later. Bought a Samsung Galaxy S1, you really notice it performing worse and worse after 1 year, heating up, battery dying quicker, freezing etc. etc. Currently have a Samsung Galaxy S5 (bought it after my S2 plan ran out).

Man lands on moon.

But seriously, it's about time there were alternatives to Nexus phones. Considering I only buy Nexus phones because they're easily the best deals around, it'll be nice to have a few choices.

What is it's IP certification? (IP67 etc.) (Water Resistance)

I train in a dusty environment and it rains frequently in the field, my previous smart phones have crapped out on me over time while training in these environments.

The water resistant and dustproof S5 is literally the only reason why I chose the S5 over M8.
