Looking to buy a projector instead of a 55-60" TV, problem is I know barely fuk all about them.

What do y'all think of these units (pls remember must be Canada)

BenQ makes decent ones, but make sure you get a real 1080p projector. You'll also need a screen. Favi makes cheap pull down ones that you can hang from hook toggles. That last one is not a real 1080p Projector. Something like the Epson 8350 is.

That one is, but I suggest you get an LCD projector for the Lens Shift and zoom. It makes setting them up super easy and you can rear shelf mount them. I personally use an Epson 8350, but it's an older model now. Epson make very good projectors and the lamp replacements are lower cost compared to other brands.

I suggest an Epson 2030. Use projector central for your guide and you should come out fine. You will need good light control to use a projector. You will definitely want a screen too. Favi has cheap screens just make sure you get a 16x9 one the manual pull downs are cheapest.

Projectors are amazing, but you do need to be a nerd to tune one in. It's much more work than a TV. Definitely worth it though.
