Alright so long story short a family member broke my PC tower and is paying me $450 to replace everything. (Tbh my pc wasn't worth $450)

Anyway so here's the build I've come up with (I don't need a HDD and Optical Drive)

Keep in mind I'm 80% clueless when it comes to this chit

CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286 $120

Mobo: MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130637 $80

RAM: 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231546 $70

Video Card: EVGA 02G-P4-3753-KR GeForce GTX 750 Ti http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487024 $154

How does this look?

Keep in mind i don't do much gaming besides Skyrim (though i might join the pc master race) though I would like to run those nice ENB mods at high settings

And what kind of PSU should i go with?

thanks brethren

since on a budget, do you think you can get gtx760 instead? so in future you can sli it and get gfx performance on par with a gtx titan..

450-500W psu would be a good start. I always start at 500W for gaming rigs since it gives users some wiggle room to upgrade.

You might also want to take a look skyrim benchmarks using AMD r7 260 and compare it with the 750ti.

a 750ti is not gonna be able to run skyrim on high with the mods your gonna be like less then 20fps.

Check out the R7 265. It's around the same cost of the 750ti but at least 15% faster.

Have you considered trying Craigslist to save money? It's a bit of a gamble, but you can save some pretty serious dough.

I just completed this build recently by buying used on Craigslist:

Used.............................................. .....................Retail
i7 4770k - $280.............................................. .....................$350
16GB G-Skill ARES 1866 RAM (2x8GB) - $50............................170
ASUS Maximus VI ROG Mini-ITX Motherboard - $100...............270
Silverstone Strider Gold Series 650w Modular PSU - $75..........130
R9 280x - $260.............................................. ......................320
Bitfenix Case - $100.............................................. ...............100 (came with $45 worth of high-end Corsair 120mm fans)
120 GBSSD + 750GB HDD - $160...........................................175 (already had these)
------------------
$925.............................................. ....................................$1515

Saved just shy of $600.

looks good, if your buying new your not gonna get better at that price. I donno how much your down to spend on GPU but i also seen some r9 270s go for cheap like 170$

also your reusing your tower? though it was broke. either way your gonna likely need a new PSU also.
