For those who drink occasionally.. When you drink do you lower your fat intake for the day? Assuming you will not be eating any food after drinking. All food cals for the day are done and then finishing the night with alcohol

Usual protocol is make sure I hit my protein early in the day and keep my carbs and fat low. One to "make room" for the calories from alcohol and two to have enough macros left over for drunk munchies. That being said I only drink very early on in a cut/prep. Bulking same protocol but obviously much more lax since you're going for gain anyways and 1 night out won't make you fat.

The Science of Binge Drinking: http://bayesianbodybuilding.com/science-binge-drinking/

Cliffs:
1. Minimize fat intake
2. Maximize time between training and drinking
3. Deplete glycogen before drinking
4. To lower alcohol intake, drink fast and on an empty stomach
5. To minimize damage from alcohol, drink slowly
6. To minimize damage, eat a large meal of protein and fiber prior to drinking
7. Drink dry wines and spirits to reduce calories

I personally lower fat for the day; mainly because i) I get way more than 'sufficient' fats on other days, ii) helps make room for calories from alcohol, iii) ^ above article
