I found an article by anthony colpo, and it talked about whole grains not being better (maybe even worse) than refined grains.

So assuming you would eat the same amount of refined grains as you already would be whole grains, and you got fiber from other sources, would replacing whole with refined grains have any negative impact on someone's diet?
