I do not watch much basketball but I started watching the all star game tonight and It was evident that lebron james took multiple steps on several occasions most specifically when he dunked. i was recording the game so I re-winded it in slow motion several times and counted 2+ steps several times.

Well, an All-Star game is the least closely reffed game ever. But...someone post that Wade 7 step gif

most guys travel in the nba, and unless it's painfully obvious it usually goes uncalled. not sure why it's that way, but it's been like that for a while.

nowadays it's called a lot actually, players like wade and lebron somehow get away with it (no idea, probably blowing the refs), but for the most part they've been calling it this year. IT's the all star game today though lol.

Harden takes 3 steps on every eurostep

The abuse of the looseness of the "gather" rule is retarded tbh

It has gotten to the point where open lane = take as many steps as you want.

When you're two top 15 all time players refs respect you enough not to call silly trash like "traveling."

Same reason MJ got so many calls. When you're a GOAT, mortal rules don't apply.

some players even travel when shooting a three, because they have to implement that mini-hop.

Players travel and carry on almost every dribble. I watched summer league this last summer up close and it was absurd. Most of the 'point guards' carried the ball on every single dribble, it looked like a school yard game.

you used to get 2 steps to layup or dunk. now you have 4-5.

it's been 3 for a while, and if you only watch stars, they get 4-5 sometimes, nba is incredibly inconsistent but they really have been calling it this year. I don't know what's worse tbh, the refs letting stars get away with it or players like wade/lephag crying about it when they get called.

ASG + Heat player = - Travel calls

The "gather" rule is just so retarded

instead of this sketchy "gather" chit that people just use as an excuse for every travel under the sun, just change the rule to officially say you get 3 steps

IMO it's weird as hell that you suddenly get more steps in the nba, that aint normal basketball. My muscle memory would never let me take 3 steps like some nba players do constantly, feels weird as fuk

Maybe Lebron and others should just learn to jump off two feet like MJ.

It doesnt get called to the extent that they don't even think about it anymore leading to ridiculous travels like the dwade 7 steps. Most people not in the NBA who play basketball their body would tell them they dun goof'd as soon as they accidentally switch pivots.

I think it's kinda weird how refs this year are randomly (selectively) calling the jab step into switching pivot foot travels, but still ignore all the other various travels

The rampant traveling will always be the casual haters excuse to not like the NBA

Oh yeah because the blatant rigging of games would not be a reason to like a league.
