International soccer jersey's are the best in sports. Those sleeved basketball jerseys look nothing like them.

I don't like it but lol if you don't think it's coming to all sports. They've been putting ads on NFL practice jerseys for years, it will be a nice smooth transition to the game jerseys.

The thing is, we all bitch about it but then we tune in and buy merchandise anyway. We validate these decisions they make, and then get mad about it.

bahahahahahaha. I may make jokes about the NBE often but holy shiit this is legitimately pathetic.

I have to wonder though.. will the advertisements be on an individual level? team, entire league? Will players get to choose what to display on their jerseys?

I highly doubt the NFL, MLB even, would ever stoop to that level.

Is there any indication whatsoever of the NFL/MLB doing this? Like a statement from Selig(the real worst commish in sports BTW)/Goodell saying it was even a possibility?

It's coming to the NFL for sure.* Possibly within 5 years. The MLB may be stubborn, they like their old-timey image. However, we're looking at a new commish. Who knows what changes that will bring?

* I sure as fuk hope I'm wrong though

No, nothing that I've seen. I'm just coming to my own conclusions. Again, I really fuking hope I'm wrong. I'm a purist to the core. It will all depend on what happens with the NBA imo. If they do roll this out and it's a success, the NFL will be the next in line, and in short order. If the fans reject the jersey ads, I think that will nip it in the bud.

The NFL already has practice jersey partnerships. Idk if all 32 teams do it, but I know the Niners have Visa patches and the Seahawks have Bing patches. It would be nice and easy to either expand those existing partnerships to include game jerseys, or possibly add new partnerships.

Fukkkk this bullchit. Soccer jerseys look good with sponsor because its just one at the front and there's no team name, only the badge.

If they put sponsor(s) on NBA jerseys its gonna look ugly and cheap as fukk like one of those NBL Australia jerseys or Asian leagues and they look ugly as fukkkkkkkk. This is bullchitttttttt.

Will legit rage if this happens. Manlet rage. Srs

Hope it doesn't happen; they're all about money though so it definitely sounds legitimate.

Hopefully there is some kind of trade-off when this happens though. I.e. stretching out the NBA season or playoffs to give players more rest. Kind of takes away from the game when so many players, stars included, are constantly injured from the condensed schedule. I only bring this up because the reason they aren't doing this now is because of a loss of money for the owners.

you have got to be kidding me with this suggestion. the NBA playoffs are already the most adulterated and stretched out playoffs in all of sports. it's like a whole other season. the first round is all filler, shouldn't even be a 7 game round. how much longer could you make it?

No they didn't. They had patches for Team Weber and Team Hill in the rising stars challenge on their lower backs.

Unless I missed something else that looked like ads, that is all I saw.
i know footlocker sponsored the contest, but its still technically an advertisement and im pretty sure this is the extent that they will go to
