Can you smell what The Rock and Marky Mark are cooking?

Deadline reports that HBO has picked-up Ballers, the half-hour comedy from the executive producing team of Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg, to series.

The Pain & Gain co-stars' project follows the lives of a group of both current and retired football players. The sizable cast includes Dwayne Johnson headlining as retired athlete Spencer Strasmore; Denzel Washington's son, and actual football player, John David Washington as Ricky, "a highly competitive and highly spiritual pro athlete;" Rob Corddry (Childrens Hospital) as Joe, "a financial advisor who tries really hard to fit in;" as well as Omar Benson Miller (CSI: Miami), Troy Garity (Boss), Donovan Carter, Jazmyn Simon (Baggage Claim), Taylor Cole (The Event) and LeToya Luckett (Killers).
