If you want good carbs/fats I'd go with my favorite afternoon snack mix:

4 walnuts, 4 cashews, a handful of pumpkin and sunflower seeds, half a banana/any other fruit. The magnesium and potassium in the seeds and banana will help you reaching your mineral target for the day, so win-win.

Have some dates while leaving home for the gym, 4-5 of them. Takes a minute, not too heavy and taste like heaven.
