I would love to cook, but with my current job and commute, I'm lucky to have 1.5 hours for the gym. Given that I can't cook, I am trying to compile a list of seamless bodybuilding friendly restaurants.

My go to used to be Energy Kitchen, but they closed their doors for good (breaking my heart in the process).

I currently still use the following (please add your suggestions!):

1. Calista' Superfoods http://www.calistasuperfoods.com/
2. Good Health Cafe http://goodhealthcafenyc.com/
3. Viola 76 country kitchen http://www.voila76.com/
4. Healthalicious http://www.healthaliciousnyc.net/

That's all I got, praying some of you can add more to the list.

See menus @ restaurants listed. Foods high in protein, low in fat, less processed, minimal additives.

See menus @ restaurants listed. Foods high in protein, low in fat...So you want to make sure your diet is deficient in essential nutrients?

That's easy to do at virtually any restaurant.

The list is endless...unless advertising that they're "healthy" helps to suck you in. You can find a restaurant near every street corner in Manhattan that fits your requirements.

Cool. Thx for the help.

Anyone have actual restaurant suggestions?

Fully aware that there are many, just as there are many recipes which will fit specific macro reqs. But like threads in which people share different recipes, I was hoping people could share some specific spots.

My point was that many restaurants that don't advertise as such will fit your requirements.

You don't have much time for the gym and you're looking for restaurant recommendations ANYWHERE in NYC? Where is the most convenient area for you? Focusing on a few neighborhoods will most likely yield you more useable advice.

Would appreciate any places in midtown and UES specifically.

Honestly (hi there, live in your area!), I like takeout Chinese--rice of various kinds and I can get steamed vegetables + meat/tofu/shrimp. Pretty straightforward and I love rice as a carb source but can never make it like the restaurants do. The one downside is this can be expensive.

I wish my town had such a great restaurant scene as New York City (My hometown).

There is this really cool mexican restaurant in alphabet city called Fonda, it is a must check out. The most delicous guacamole I have ever had.
