I remember when the pats are up by 40 went for it on 4th and 1 lol, sure I think these last 2 games he went hard for the record, but no where near as bad as Brady did..... now don't get me wrong I do not blame Brady for running up the score when he did, this is the NFl, they could of stopped him, kinda like how people can attempt to stop Manning.

ummmmm pats had a potato schedule the year Brady set the record. They also ran up the score when up by 40 and would go for it on multiple 4th downs just so they can have Tom set the record.

This. What Pats fans doesn't realize is that even in 2004 Peyton could have had more than this year. He played only series against Denver and then sat. Add that to the fact that Manning, unlike Brady, was sat a couple of times in the end of blowout games. He could have had 53-55 in 2004 had he played all the games.

Congratulations to Manning on the record. He's played phenomenally this regular season.

Now, to the complete idiots in this thread:

1. You realize Moss, Welker, and Branch weren't together during the 2007-2008 season? Not to mention that Branch was nothing amazing. A very good Wr, but not a game breaker.

2. Manning has "run up the score" just as much as Brady did. For those bitching about Brady going for it on the 4th and one against the Redskins, multiple Redskins players said they'd rather have seen the Patriots go for it than kick the FG, as kicking the FG makes them feel like they need sympathy.

3. This is the most comical part. People saying Manning would have won more SB's with Belichick are the same that always say Manning is the coach, and that Manning runs the offense. The Colts defense was never as putrid as people make it seem.

GetBigyo
12-22-2013, 02:44 PM
