Hey guys, my love handles are getting to me I cant stand them. I have been weight lifting for a year now. before i was 140ish and now i am 175. I was wondering if it would be ok for me to finally start to cut down. i have never been lean my life, always been skinny fat. i am 18yrs old, 5'7 and 175lbs can anyone guess my bodyfat percentage? im thinking its 18%. i have been taking 2100 calories daily and around 150g protein. using this, do you think in another 4months i can hit around 12-13%? ps i have gyno lol it sucks so much

EDIT: so i cannot post pictures yet because i do not have enough posts.. can anyone please post them for me? its in my bodyspace. thank you so much!

You can cut whenever you'd like. Also, as far as the love handles go, you can't spot target fat loss :(

if you went from 140 to 175 you probably added a good amount of mass, go ahead and cut! in 2-3 months youll be looking awesome

Looking at your body space pics, I'd say your due for a cut. Don't worry about muscle frame being smaller then guys who are pretty fit. Arms will appear bigger when they're next to a torso that is more of a muscular tone. As oppose to a torso that takes over them and makes them look small.

Also, idk what your TDEE is but lets do the math shall we? I'm going to estimate 20% body fat in the calculations because that's what I would eye ball your body fat level at. so 175x .20 = 35 lbs of fat. So lets say you lose 15 lbs of fat 35 -15 = 20 175 - 15 = 160. So 15 divided by 160 = 12.5 % body fat. So if we take into account water weight you'll be about 155 lbs. And 12.5% body fat and if you lose 500 calories a day you will lose one pound a week and still be at your goal in 15 weeks. Just one short of 4 months. Give yourself some "fall off the wagon" room or stall out weeks and I'd say 4-5 months is a very reasonable goal. PS good amount of protein intake, lift big and maintain that hard earned muscle of yours! No crash diets in hopes to speed things up. Good luck.
