Parent accuses Texas high school football coach of bullying after 91-0 blowout game

The coach of a Texas high school football team has been accused of bullying in a formal complaint after his team beat another school 91-0.

In the complaint, the dad of a player on the Western Hills High School football team claims Aledo High School football coach Tim Buchanan encouraged his players to bully their opponents by running up the score. Buchanan learned of the online complaint against him Saturday, the day after his team beat Western Hills in a 4A matchup.

"It wasn't good for anybody," Buchanan said. "I've sat and gone over and over and over it on what we could have done differently. The score could have very easily been 150 to nothing."

The team that scored 91 ran like 16 plays or something like that. They played with a running clock when they had the ball while the other team refused the running clock.

Get over it phaggots

My son's favorite players play for the Houston Texans and on Sunday afternoon we all witnessed bullying firsthand, it is not a pretty sight. Driving home from the stadium after the game and taking my son home was tough, I did not know what to say on the ride home to explain the behavior of the 49ers coach for not easing up when the game was in hand.

After thinking about my ride home, I thought how tough it must have been for Coach Harbaugh to explain what happened to their players on the drive home. During the game the 49ers players showed respect to the Texans and I thank them for their good sportsmanship. I wish the 49ers players good luck this season and hope they have a successful season. I wish their coaches don't have to explain this at the postgame meeting again.

In my high school days we got worked a few times (never 91-0 though, just lol at that) and all my dad did was tell me to work harder next week.

You want the other team to stop scoring? Then stop them from scoring.

I think the real implication is that once the game was out of reach, they should've just let the other team score a few gimmes.

What a terrible, terrible state the U.S. has sunken to.

Are you fuking serious right now?

edit Wait, are you saying the the US has "sunken to a terrible state" because people believe the winning team should have allowed the other team to score, or because they didn't let them score?

Buchanan tells MyFoxDFW.com he pulled his starters from the game after the first quarter and even eventually brought in his third-string players

blame is all on the losing team

The bold part.

Yes, I'm serious.

No, I wasn't being clear. I apologize.

I agree with you then. I thought you were whining about them not allowing the other team to score lol.

Why do the conferences/schedules that allow for this ****? I doubt many people want to watch a blowout let alone play in one...what's the fkn point.

Coach says it could have been 150+ to nothing ...one team clearly had no business being in that game to begin with.

It looks like they're just a powerhouse team... they've got to play someone.

They're the 4th ranked team in the state lulz.

High school sports is ridiculously unbalanced in general. When I played high school ball my poverty school could keep pace with most teams in our district, but then there were always schools that have fuking prep superstars that wrecked us. Brb the center on our team was 6'3" 175 and slow as fuk. :(

Imagine playing the high school team with LeBron James on it.
