Hi all,
Assuming I'm doing 1-1.5 hours of cardio per day (I'm training for a race), are sugary cereals a *decent* food as a pre-workout and/or pre-bedtime snack? I'm talking about something like having a serving of Reeses Puffs and milk before I hit the hay. I would like to keep some muscle definition while I train for the race; would having such a high-glycemic sugary food be bad or will my body be craving fuel so much that it will just get burned off?

Thanks!

They would be fine even if you weren't training for a race

if you perform well on simple carbs, you are getting adequate macros, micros, and fiber then yes its fine

I eat "sugary" cereals every day whether I'm deep into my off season or 4 weeks out.
