Sports Illustrated is reporting that Oklahoma State University have been paying players between $10,000-$25,000 annually. Not only that but there's been huge academic misconduct with the football team and they've allowed recreational drug use on the team. And the final nail in the coffin they've had a hostess program to have sex with their recruits.

Count me in on the group that thinks nothing will ever come of this. No sanctions, no lost schollies, nothing. The days of being punished ended with Ohio State and UNC.

The article states it started with Les Miles. I'm sure LSU is doing a better job of covering it up though.

Is anyone surprised? I think you'd have to be naive to think these things don't happen within almost every program (from time to time and to some extent anyway).

The only difference is Oklahoma st got caught for whatever reason. If we actually had proof of all the crime, corruption, and scams people take part in we'd probably never trust anyone.

This is unfair to guys like Urban Meyer, Joe Paterno, Bobby Bowdin, Nick Saban, and others who have run good clean programs without the advantages OK State had during this time period.

If by huge scandal you mean they got caught doing what every SEC team has done for a decade, then yes.

You are way off base here, buddy.

It's been going on a lot longer than a decade.

A more interesting story would be AFTER doing tons of fact finding and researching one of these media outlets writes a story on a perennial top 20 program who DOES NOT engage in these types of activities. Could they even find one who was completely clean for a decade?

Players got some extra cash, smoked some weed, and got a lot of help from tutors. Recruits ****ed hostesses. Those things go on at every program in the country.

So far the only thing we have is a bunch of no-name players playing He Said, She Said. I mean they were all cash payments so it's hard to prove anything. The only place where they can get hammered is in the academic fraud.
