View Full Version : Mysterious Calories in Swole v3

This is the ingredient profile for Syntrax Swole v3:

2CM Enhanced Di-Creatine-L-Malate 5 g
Betapure Betaine Anhydrous 2 g
CR100 Creatine Anhydrous 2 g
Taurine 2 g
Enduriac Glucuronolactone 1 g
Glycovol Glycocyamine 500 mg
Guanipro Guanidinopropionic Acid 500 mg

However, my tub says that it also has 10 Calories per serving. Assuming that Syntrax is rounding up, that means that there are either 2 grams of protein/carbs or 1 gram of fat in each serving. So which ingredient(s) is responsible for the calories? Does Taurine or Betaine count as a protein? Are Glucuronolactone, Glycocyamine, or Guanidinopropionic Acid fats?

It's not that I'm concerned about 10 Calories, I'm just curious about where they're coming from - and I couldnt turn up anything helpful with a couple of simple Google/Wikipedia searches. Anyone have any ideas/links?

I sent a PM to SI03 Board Rep to look into the accounting on that, we'll have an answer by Monday or so.

Just want to clear this up. The calories are coming from the Taurine which is an amino acid. Swole contains 2 grams of Taurine with 4 calories per gram that equals 8 and rounds up to 10. If you have any other questions please let me know.
