i agree, i was actually rooting for them at the start of the season, and in their game opener, THEY SLAUGHTERED the texas rangers.

Clearly Im a homer for the Astros and I have to watch most of the games on the MLB.com gameday thing. I honestly think they are better than their record shows. They have blown a ton saves and leads late in the game. There is some nice young talent and Bo Porter seems to be a good coach.
The only thing thats bothering me is that some of these young guys that show potential do only that... show potential. They never fully break out. Like Wallace, he shows enough to want to see him have some more ABs. There are several just like him...

I got really angry coming into this thread expecting Astros, I got yo back mayne.

These mother****ers, I cant understand why people think the Astros are bad aside from their record which having watched almost every game, many losses are tough luck blown saves and the like.
The team is starting to look very good and they are hitting and pitching better and better, they always just lose games in the last few innings when the ****pen pitchers come out and blow the game.

If you didnt count innings 8 and 9 their record would be far better/bleh

They should have a much better record...I mean they have to play the Astros like 17 times a year which is like 17 easy wins....

The Rays. It seems like 1/3 no-nos, the Rays are on the bad side of things.

Also, any non-pseudo-baseball-fan knows that teams like the Astros, Twins and Cubs won't suck for much longer. They have the best farm systems in the bigs.

I wish the Astros would give Springer a shot this September, but they probably won't. I mean, he's 24 FFS. I understand the whole arbitration argument, but how much longer can you keep him down in AAA without stunting his development?
