View Full Version : Is rate of glycogen depletion different from person to person?

I'm just over 3 weeks out from my first competition. I'm eating at what is said to be my maintenance calories (according to the harris benedict formula) but am still losing weight at a rate I'm fairly happy with (I have a very high tolerance - need to eat well above maintenance to put on weight). I'm currently eating roughly 250 carbs per day and refeeding with 500ish, a day or so after my refeeds I start shrinking very fast and was wondering if the rate of intra muscular water depletion is relative to how many carbs my body is used to (i.e exclusive to me) or if it's the same for everyone.

Stupid question that is worded poorly I know.

when you lift, do you lift the same as every person?
