srs this team realized they sucked and they fkin tanked hard and traded away there stars to get young talent. they had one of the worst farm systems couple years ago and in a span of 2 year they have a top 3 or top 2 farm system in the league. they could've signed free agents and be .500 ball club for years but they realized they werent ever going be good long term with that strategy and tanked hard.

add in rodon next season and we'll be the best team in 3-4 years

yeah but lets not compare the stadiums of the marlins and astros to the piece of **** they have in oakland. the astrs are sucking on purpose and there doing the right thing. our minor league prospects are just sick. one of our top propsects is 3-3 with 2 hrs so far tonight and batting .450

I agree they have a nice farm system but you just never know how these guys are going to translate to the bigs.

Cubs went from **** farm system to easily top 5 and they aren't even that horribly bad like some other teams. Gonna make a couple of trades including a Garza trade which will probably give them a top 2 farm system.

I hate them losing like they are but there are some things I do like... Its just hard to watch.
I think Jeff Luhnow is a boss at this chit. I hope that they are just using Bo Porter to get through this losing stretch and then can him. I like him so far...

Team is an absolute joke, but doubt the owner gives a ****. Keeping that payroll as small as possible and printing money. Sad for the fans tho.

money keeps rolling in no matter what the standings or attendance numbers say, so product on the field doesnt matter at all

This. The Royals had the best farm system of all time in 2010 or 11 and it hasn't done much for us so far.

why are you talking about the royals? theres numerous teams like nationals and pirates who have built through the farm system

Actually they aren't. The Rays and Pitts Pens did it better, tank then take over the league. When they lost tho they didn't go to Astro depth.

pirates sucked ass for decades before they got where they are today. astros sucked really bad only for 4-6 years

The Rays stay competitive because of drafting and their farm system though. You don't have to tank to build a solid farm system if anything the Rays should be the model franchise.

Cubs fan here. Top 5? No. They have no pitching in the entire organization.
