View Full Version : Took law enforcement O course yesterday. Passed with good time, but......

.....after the pull (sled weighing 150lbs pulled 50(?) feet) I started to sprint to the finish line, and quads went squirrelly on me for a second. What the F? I don't ignore my legs. Have what I consider an "ok" squat (275 for reps), so it kind of blew my mind that this happened,

WTF? Any suggestions on how to ensure this doesn't happen again?

Edit: I had spent the previous 2 days driving from VA to FL. Don't know if this has any bearing on what happened though.

Probably a hydration and electrolyte issue more than weakness. thoughts?

Interesting, maybe. It was hot and humid as F, but I was pounding the water. However, that is something to consider I suppose. Tripped me out for a second when they went all "noodlely" and I had to pause for a sec as I thought I was going to fall.

Sled pulling and sprinting aren't squatting. You're body reacted to a demand it wasn't acclimated to.
