View Full Version : Kosher clean bulking diet?

Hey everyone, I've basically been cutting for the past 6 months, gonna go for one more month and then wanna start a clean bulk. I don't really eat too much dairy because it upsets my stomach so I eat lots of chicken, ground turkey, fish, eggs for protein. I do keep kosher though so I'm looking for a structured diet that I can follow.

For those of you not familiar with kosher dietary laws:
- Meats - can't have anything that doesn't have split hooves and chew its cud (I can have meat that comes from cows)
- Poultry - I can have chicken, turkey (not 100% aware of all the laws behind this)
- Fish - need to have fins and scales
- If I have either meat or poultry I need to wait 6 hours before having anything dairy (i.e. whey, casein, etc), if I eat dairy I only have to wait about 30 min before eating meat/poultry

My diet for cutting was:

6:45 am- protein shake (8 oz water, couple ice cubes, heaping scoop of ON whey but switching to Designer whey, a banana, tbsp of peanut butter, little bit of honey), multivitamin

9:30 am- ZonePerfect protein bar and a Fuji Apple

12 pm- Either a whole wheat wrap/Roll-up with chicken/turkey/fish and veggies, or rice and chicken/turkey/fish

2:30 pm- hand full of either almonds or walnuts

4:45 pm- Veggies and chicken/turkey/fish

(6 pm- PWO and workout at 6:30ish, if I'm hungry I'll eat something small)

8 pm- Omelet (3 egg whites and 2 whole eggs) with flax seeds

before bed (11:30ish)- Casein Shake (8 oz water, ice, tbsp of peanut butter)

I drink between 1 and 1.5 gallons of water a day and allow myself one cheat day a week

I don't count my calories, I know I should but I'm never too hungry and never too full. Just need advice on what to eat/supps to take/how many calories for a clean bulk. Thanks for the help.

Sorry about that, guess its time to start counting...approx how many calories are need for a bulk diet though? I'm currently 170 lbs and 6'0''.

general recommendation is TDEE + 10-20% depending on how fast you want to go
