View Full Version : Would it be wise for me to continue to bulk, or to cut?

I've been doing my research and a lot of resources (t-nation, mens health, that dude curling in the squat rack) are suggesting that most muscular gains come between 10-15% bodyfat. Currently I am 153 lbs at an estimated 12.82% bodyfat (5'6" manlet w/ 30.5 inch waist).

I'd like to know your opinion - do you believe these stats constitute "skinny fat" and therefore I should bulk? Or would you say it's more prudent for me to spend a few weeks munching on leaves until I hit 10%, then initiate a dreamer bulk of peace?

Thank you :)

Would need photos to give you an accurate answer unless your 100% sure your 12% bodyfat. If you are then its safe to bulk.

*looks in the mirror* hmm nearly 400lbs, 36-45%bf, dead lifts 400lbs...

thank god when i get to 10%bf, i can finally be able to lift heavy...

--- sarcasm end ---

but yeah, bulk. your lean already, your LBM-height is decent but not great, so go for it man.

Easiest way to determine your body fat in a realistic way. Go to google images and type in 15% body fat. Look at the pics....
