For people who work long days and get few breaks, what do you do to keep you food intake high. Any suggestions on healthy yet fairly inexpensive things i can buy or make that can be eating quickly (besides bars).

You can make food in advance and then store in a container for consumption later on. But, make sure they are properly sealed and food is still fresh when you go to eat.

Packing a nutritious lunch or dinner that can be microwaved, along with a small snack like nuts or a no-sugar added, low-fat yogurt helps me keep on track.

Tupperware is a great invention :)

Bump on this. I am the 'tupperware girl'! :p I love the stuff and have a whole cupboard full that I keep for filling up with food to take with me - All different sizes so I can use them for different things.

I fill them with cottage cheese, chopped vegetables, slices of fruit, nuts, dry roasted chick-peas and soy-beans, yoghurt, tuna, hard-boiled eggs, slices of dense grain breads and a mixture of spreads like hommus and nut pastes. I then pile them all into a bag and take it with me along with three 1.2 Litre bottles of water!

I also have 'emergency food' stocks with me at all times. These are just incase I get caught out unexpectedly and I can't get home. So, in both my bag (that I take with me everywhere) and in the glove box of my car I keep a protein bar. I also keep a container of dry roasted chick-peas and a cannister water in the car as well.....

... you can never be too prepared! :D
