Okay the title was a lie to get you here. Sorry!

Currently I am maintaining 170lbs at 3000 calories per day. I am wanting to start a bulk for the next 6 months. I've already been at 3000 calories for 1 month. How should I approach this bulk? I am wanting to avoid as much unnecessary fat gains as possible.

I am running a strength program (5-4-3-deload on all compound lifts) but I am also doing some accessory work with isolation's (12-10-8-deload on isolations)

My plan right now was to just to this.

Since I've already been at 3000 calories for the past month and maintained my weight.

Month 1 bulk - 3100 calories p/day (April > May) 2013
Month 2 bulk - 3200 calories p/day (May > June) 2013
Month 3 bulk - 3300 calories p/day (June > July) 2013
Month 4 bulk - 3400 calories p/day (July > August) 2013
Month 5 bulk - 3500 calories p/day (August > September) 2013
Month 6 bulk - 3600 calories p/day (September > October) 2013
Cut month 1 - 3100 calories p/day - 1 day per week cardio 200 cal burning session. (October > November) 2013
Cut month 2 - 2900 calories p/day - 1 day per week cardio 200 cal burning session. (November > December) 2013
Cut month 3 - 2700 calories p/day - 1 day per week cardio 200 cal burning session. (December > January) 2014
Cut month 4 - 2500 calories p/day - 2 day per week cardio 200 cal burning session. (January > February) 2014

Is that caloric increase too much? My goal is to get my metabolism running as high as possible in the off-season so I don't have to cut back so much when cutting later on.

Is this a sound plan or is it ****? If so why.

Is this a dirty bulk? Try to avoid carbs and fats together, insulin response can cause fat buildup (though it would be minimal with like 500 calories over bmr).

I actually cut 15lbs of fat eating 385g carbs a day. Take your bro-science elsewhere please.
