There's a lot of controversy on this topic, I personally feel I need a lot of energy on off days as I'm recovering. Like today, my legs and shoulders are aching to f***!! However, I've not been bulking that long and I've started to get a bloating sort of look on my stomach? I'm growing definitely, so I'm assuming it's just all part of the process? What do you guys do on off days anyway, who are bulking? Just maintain the same macros as training days or lower carbs?

Maintain the same. Recovery happens outside the gym

Same amount. Protein synthesis is still elevated on the day after a workout, why would you want to hurt your gains?

I eat the same amount on training days but kind of take it a little easier during the weekend (my off days).

Okay so its clear, eat the same during off days. However, since I've been bulking I get this annoying bloated look on my stomach?! It's not like a pop belly, my stomach is just out more..if that makes sense. Quite annoying because whenever I eat it happens. I drink a gallon of water and stay away from salt/sodium..

Probably the extra calories and that gallon of water that's causing your stomach to look bloated. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you're gaining too quickly.

Ill take the ladder on this one. I tend to hold weight really easily so on off day I look to get my carbs more from veggies. It works for me but thats only my opnion
