He hasn't gotten much press despite being the best story of the playoffs IMO... sixteen years of elite play without ONE playoff win to no fault of his own... likely the end of his career with virtually zero fanfare... and he's been nothing but elite on and off the field from day one... possibly the greatest TE ever!

Agreed.

It's a shame that Ray Lewis is getting all the attention.

Tony G is the goat te. Hope he comes back because he is still doing it and that ATL offense is setup nicely for another run next year.

I remember watching him play football and basketball at Cal and thinking "wtf, Mexicans play football and bball too?" and not having any clue how great of a player he would become. (inb4 he's not Mexican.. I know :P)

Much respect to him and his career

What? No fanfare? I was sick of hearing about it.
There was a whole segment on it today... There were stories all year. Almost as bad as Lewis but Tony is less of a d-bag.

just a class act all around who's been doing it the best year in and year out and in his prime on some pretty bad teams.

right now, he's def the GOAT TE.

GOAT Tight End bar none and I'm big on Gates/Winslow

Nice to see he had a taste of the playoffs and who knows, it might be enough to lure him back. If not best of luck to him and hopefully people will start to appreciate him post NFL as well

He's not an attention whore so he only gets appreciation for his skills. Easy HOFer.

He will be back, a super bowl contender like seahawks or broncos might make make his dream come true next year.

He will return to Atlanta for one more year.

Atlanta will be better next year. No major losses and another year of the offensive weapons
