lol'd at a poverty 33%. lebron has scored 30+ in 294 games out of 727. that's 40.4%.

lol'd at kobe only having 94 more 30 pt games than lebron in 7 extra seasons. lebron averages 31 30 pt games per season. kobe averages 24.

pretty obvious who the superior scorer is.

even more fun...

games with 15 points or less:

Lebron - 51 - 7% of games played

Kobe has consistently put up 5 APG throughout his career with 27+ points. 5 championships speaks for itself. Name how man player who can average 5 APG and 27+ PPG throughout 17 year season?

Kobe has consistently put up 4-5 APG throughout his career with 25+ points. 5 championships speaks for itself.
Lebron has consistently put up 7-8 apg, so it makes it look like nothing. Plus, Lebron is also a dominant scorer himself, he may not have crazy high scoring games like Kobe could, but he could score himself when needed. He has pretty much put up 25-30 ppg throughout his prime and what is most impressive is his 50%+ FG%.

His 2nd best player was ****ing Mo Williams and he led them to back to back 60+ win seasons. When Kobe had a ****ty team from 2005-2007, he ended up bitching for a trade until the Lakers ended up ripping off Memphis by trading Kwame for Pau. At least Lebron finished his contract and didn't bitch a trade cause his team sucked.

The Clippers traded Randolph to the Grizz because they drafted Griff.
Lol at cap room.

Must be the same trade that allowed them to give Rudy the max in 2010 I'm guessing.

When that trade happened Marc was an embryo....it was the "draft rights" to the guy, not this established center who could help Memphis.

Over a calendar year later at that.

This was nothing but doing the Lakers a favor.

Some people wake up in the morning and find Kobe vids on youtube and flame the comments, while having a bulls avatar. Seen it too many times..

I think it's because people are afraid that their god Jordan might be getting dethroned by the new generation of basketball fans so they lash out in any way possible to change peoples perception about kobe.

Do you even watch Lebron play? The majority of his shots (even more at the start of his career) are drives to the basket. Ofcourse it's easier to maintain a high FGP when you're next to the rim, as opposed to shooting from the perimeter.

Mirin' LBJ though, guy's a beast

Daewoo_Lanos
01-20-2013, 09:42 AM
Yeah this is true. Eliminating those two seasons, Kobe's number of games go down to 86 with <= 15pts and 21 with <= 10pts.

they were the same age with the same pre-NBA experience. if kobe wasn't good enough to play, perhaps he should've went to college.

Eliminating Lebron's first 2 seasons brings his number of games with less than or equal to 10 pts down to 2. 2 fkn games. i lol'd. and 15 pts or less to 25 games.

hey fair is fair. even if lbj was 30x better at 18 & 19 in his first 2 seasons compared to kobe at 18 & 19, those 2 seasons were still the worst he was as a player, so let's just throw them out to keep the comparison fair.

any way you slice it, lebron wins at everything, except scoring 60 points with 0 assists, or taking over 40 shots in a game, or having the most unstoppable big man of all time leading your team to finals victories against poverty centers. kobe is much better at doing all of those things.

33 regular season triple doubles, look at this doozy of a statline: 43 points, 15 assists & 13 rebounds , plus 2 steals 4 blocks

8

42 triple doubles.

Not trying to argue who is better but i thought i would just mention it , 42 triple doubles is impressive but imagine Oscar Robertson had 181 triple doubles in his 14 year career including a season where he avg 30.8 pts , 12.5 rb and 11.4 ast over the course of an entire season.

He also had seasons he avgd

30.5,10.1,9.7
28.3,10.4,9.5
31.4,9.9,11.0
30.4,9.0,11.5

even though he played in a poverty league, oscar's feat is mind-boggling.

only thing more impressive than that to me is Jordan getting 7 triple doubles in a row and 10 triple doubles in 11 games. that literally makes no sense and I would never believe it was possible if he didn't actually do it. 3 rebounds away from 11 triple doubles in a row. wtf... was it a bet? did someone challenge him? how the fuk does that happen? wish i was watching ball back then when he did it.

only thing more impressive than that to me is Jordan getting 7 triple doubles in a row and 10 triple doubles in 11 games. that literally makes no sense and I would never believe it was possible if he didn't actually do it. 3 rebounds away from 11 triple doubles in a row. wtf... was it a bet? did someone challenge him? how the fuk does that happen? wish i was watching ball back then when he did it.

Had to be a bet or was just trying to prove something because he only had 27 career triple doubles to think he got almost 40% of them in a 10 game stretch seems odd.

well i have heard that jordan responded to critics saying he was chucking too much by making it a point to prove he could still lead the league in scoring while being less selfish. that was the season he avg'd 33, 8, 8. he had 15 triple doubles on the season so more than half his career trip dubs in 1 season. he probably did 2 in a row without trying and decided to see how long he could keep going. you dont do 10 in 11 games by accident. but then again he averaged 33 ppg in those 10 trip dub games so it's not like he was purposely going for poverty 10 pt triple doubles just to keep the streak going.
