So a couple weeks ago i got a bodpod done just out of curiosity, turns out im 167 with 22%BF. Not happening, i want to be at most 15% when im building mass so i dont feel like ****. The sheet they game me says my RMR is 1559 kcal/day. What do i do with this number.

RMR=Resting Metabolic Rate , its basicly how much calories you burn doing nothing. Take that number and calculate with your activity level (read sticky on the forum about that) and you got your approximate TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and you got your daily calorie need to maintain your weight.

Theres no way your resting metabolism is 1500 plus at 130 pounds of lean mass. I have about 114 pounds of lean mass and I burn 2000 calories doing nothing all day.

Is your method of measurement more reliable than the bodpod?

Ive tested my method with the body bugg and deficits with the scale more than a year. Id bet against it being right for sure. He will find out when he starts to diet. (my body bugg is off by 100 calories a day for me and it comes out to 2000 a day after adjusting like I said doing nothing all day) If his estimate was right I should only have a 1500 calorie one myself.

How long did it take from start to finish ?
I've thought about having that done myself.
