Hello,

I am trying to cut my BF%. I've added a new meal to my new lifestyle change and just wanted your thoughts on it.

Recipe:-

Princes Mackerel Fillets in a Spicy Tomato Sauce (125g)
Cal 225kCal
Fat 17.1g
Sat Fat 1.6g
Sugar 5.1g
Salt 0.9g

Energy kCal 200kCal
Energy kJ 833kJ
Protein 13.6g
Carbohydrate 4.7g
of which sugars 4.2g
Fat 14.1g
of which saturates 1.3g
Fibre Nil
Sodium 0.3g
Salt N/A

Red Peppers x1
Olive oil 4Tbsp
Bajan Pepper Sauce
Everything heated on the gas till peppers are soft..

with...

Warburtons Seeded Five Seed Batch Bread (3 Slices)
Cal 137kCal
Fat 4.1g
Sat Fat 0.9g
Sugar 1.5g
Salt 0.4g

Might need to add some green on the side...


What you guys think? Tastes really nice by the way!!!

Just be aware that mackerel king (a specific variety) is very high in mercury.

OK... thanks for that might switch to sardines as it has a lower mercury content.

What do you think of the meal? I am trying to cut my body fat (excess stomach fat) by cutting saturated fats from diet for a couple of weeks. Hopefully will leave me looking more cut.

Cutting out saturated fat intake will only result in malnutrition. Malnutrition will not result in better body composition, but, rather, just the opposite.

What matters is daily energy balance and micro/macronutrient sufficiency.

Please start reading the stickies to learn the basic concepts of nutrition.
