I have been eating 3 to 4 hours apart. Is assuming this keeps your metabolism up. How has this worked for you guys?

Meal frequency and timing has no effect on metabolism....overall caloric intake does.

Spacing meals out doesn't boost metabolism. Total calories will govern what happens there.

This. I'm so glad people think this way now. When i was little all i heard was "EAT EVERY 2 HOURS OR YOU'LL LOSE YOUR GAINS!"

This is not true

Spacing meals out doesn't boost metabolism. This is. Wait wit?

Spacing does effect metabolism, as the more evenly spaced your meals are the more even you metabolic burn will be throughout the day. If you eat once a day your metabolism will be slow for long periods of time and then hyper active following the large meal.

However, the total burn will not be "boosted"

I do this only when I get low blood sugar so I don't feel like crap, which is towards the end of my cut usually.

How is this not ture?

Read this: http://www.leangains.com/2010/10/top-ten-fasting-myths-debunked.html.

However, at the end of the 24-hour period, or as long as it would take to assimilate the nutrients, there would be no difference in TEF. The total amount of energy expended by TEF would be identical in each scenario. Meal frequency does not affect total TEF. You cannot "trick" the body in to burning more or less calories by manipulating meal frequency

I remember talking to this guy once, before I even got into reading up on nutrition and training, this guy was huge and ripped to the core.. I asked him how he ate during the day etc, he told me he ate 2 meals a day.

1 large meal containing half his calories in the morning, and 1 large meal containing his other half in the evening.
