Alumni are not happy:

@BonnieBernstein
I feel sick. Part of my identity has been stripped. Priority 1 better be reinstating those 7 sports we cut. Goodbye, ACC. #Terps

@TorreySmithWR

Alumni are very happy.

The Maryland message boards are 95% positive except these idiots with the "Ohh no, but we won't be playing Dook"

The B1G is a huge upgrade over the dying ACC.

The ACC and the Big East are trying to grab any teams they can so they can both remain conferences but I just dont see it happening. Maryland leaves plus FSU and Clemson have been flirting with leaving for awhile. Its not looking good for that conference.

The ACC is a basketball conference, so it's a lateral move in hoops atleast.

I think UConn basketball is heading downhill.

You could say the same for Maryland hoops once Gary left.

If Maryland can get back to being a solid BB programt the B1G is going to be one hell of a basketball conference (Not that it already isn't). Rutgers will be a nice team to have for FB as well.
