View Full Version : Initial Weight Gain

Hey wassup guys I'm making this thread to discuss how much initial weight is acceptable when you transition into a bulk. Now my goal is to add 3-4lbs a month bulking for the next 7 months from sept-april and in January I'm going to lean out quite a bit and then transition right back into a bulk. I started my bulk Thursday of last week on the 13th at 180lbs and right now I'm weighing in at about 187. Now I was almost completely carb depleted getting about 50-70g a day so most of it is probably water weight; my main debate is am I gaining too much too fast? That falls along the lines of whether or not it's truly all water weight. So I guess my real question is when does the water weight cap off when I reach stable carb levels?

You obviously haven't gained 7lbs of fat in a little over a week. Mostly water weight I'm sure.
