so around 2yrs ago i decided to shed some weight and ending up loosing around 40lbs in a year or so, then this last year i have slowly put on about 14lbs of which i assume (hope!) a fair bit is muscle, i had been at the gym but not strictly by any means. I have just started hitting it up again properly this last month and am cutting again.

here is a picture of me now and if you could let me know roughly bf and what you think with regards to how much of a cut i need that would be great, i want to get to around 12% or so before i lean bulk. i am currently sitting at 173lbs and 5'8"

I am bad at guessing bf but I definitely wouldn't say that you are above 16% BF. I could be wrong but I don't know, you look like 15-16% BF to me.
