I'm not going to spend 19 minutes and 19 seconds of my life watching a youtube video about Alex Smith.

Disregarding who the OP is. I am interested and might make time to watch it. He stuck around and has a chance to prove his haters around( I doubt he will and I see them finishing very average).

Good video but not sure it is really for non 49er fans. Basically goes over the crap he went thru with previous coaches then goes on to show the 49ers 2011 season and then concentrates on Alex's performance in the Saints game with big emphasis on the game winning throw since both The Catch by Montana to Clark and The Catch 2 by Young to Owens were on 3rd and 3 just like Alex Smith to Vernon Davis.

I thank you for what you've done for this country but I'm sorry about the head injury you must've suffered in the process.

14-2?

You know what I like about you? You will bring me great joy (no homo). At the end of the year, when Dallas is 8-8/7-9, I will laugh at how some of their fans actually thought they would be 13-3 or better. It will be fun.

I have to agree, take the fan-bias out of it. The Cowboys are terrible and we all know it. I doubt they'll make the playoff, Giants will win the east and too many good teams in the NFC for a wildcard.

I like how you're still on Smith's balls, yet he's still on the hot seat this season from the get-go. lolol

yeah, lets all tear up over some over-privileged white kid

"story of Alex Smith" lol...story of some rich guy who gets paid millions to play a game and his only adversity he's faced in his life is his coach admitting he is mentally weak and not a good quarterback. very touching...

real good video nevertheless

he threw 5 picks last season

he threw 5 picks last season

Yeah but passing rather conservatively. 27th in yards per game with 196 yards/game, 19th in completions over 20 yards, 20th in completions over 40 yards. 30th in red zone offense with more run attempts (80) than passes (60) in the red zone. Now, common sense says you should run more in the red zone but most of the "elite" teams are 50/50 or have more pass attempts than runs. Of the playoff teams only the Texans had significantly more rushing attempts than passing attempts in the red zone with the Packers, Giants, Patriots, Saints, Broncos, Lions all having more passing attempts.

If he's going to start airing it out (and with VD, Manningham, Crabtree, Moss) his picks will probably go up. I doubt he's going to have fewer than 5 picks in 2012 but he'll probably also have more than 17 TDs.
