"I think I've got plenty (left)," Benson said. "I still feel good. I'm still loose, I diet well and I train well and do the best I can to contribute to the longevity of my career as best I know how. And I think I've got plenty of years left. I feel great."

"I definitely have a goal to still rush for 1,000, 1,000-plus, and set up some big numbers," Benson said following his first practice in Green Bay on Monday afternoon. "I understand it's not a run-first team and the run is not real heavy here, but there's times where a back gets the ball 25 times (in one game).

"They talk about a Super Bowl around here, not about winning their first playoff game," Benson said earlier in the interview.

"It's good for our team to have guys who have had success other places come here, add to the team, add some leadership to the team, some experience," Rodgers said of Benson. "I think it's going to be a good transition for him.

"Cedric Benson's a good fit for us," McCarthy said. "He's been a very productive running back. He's played in a one-back system the last few years, and it's clearly evident that we've evolved more to a one-back system. I think he's a good fit for our football team.

"I'm excited that he's here."

I've been picking him up as a FA in mocks, def gonna take him while hes a Packer. (Fantasy Fball that is).

Yup can see him being more of a powerback though, but him and Starks is a nice 1-2 they got there.

Good signing for the Packers. Low risk signing and the talent at the RB position just increased.

he's posted a YPC avg above 4 once in the last 5 years and it was 4.2 lol

sorry, just another insignificant signing of an over the hill player living on name alone. he'll be like the 9th most important player on the packers offense.

brb dat fumble

he sucks in pass protection and fumbles a lot, glad the Pack got him cheap

with all the other RBs banged up there was no choice

Very good signing for GB imo. Low risk and high reward and brings a solid starter for the group of RB's. I was hoping the Steelers looked at him with Mendenhall being injured. He is a complete idiot off the field, but a good RB when he is focused.

Sad to see him go from the bengals... Benson was dope and he should do really well with the packers...

who is the starting RB for the bengals now?

BenJarvis Green-Ellis... meh

I do like Bernard Scott though...

Bears gotta deal with Benson at least twice this year now haha

Law Firm ^^^^^. If Benson gets goal line, easy 10 td's.

Benson is pretty much the only short yardage back the Packers have. Kuhn, but he isn't as good as Benson.

so a guy whos turning 30 and has made it through 1 full season in his career is going to have his best season ever in a pass-heavy offense while splitting carries?

that said, 700 yards and 5 TDs, 5 fumbles is not out of the question for him
