View Full Version : Russell Wilson > Luck & RG3

Yeah I said it, deal with it

Dude was a boss this weekend. Accurate passes were on the dot every time. Made one mistake, so what? He's limited in practice splitting the snaps with 2 other QBs. He can run too? Awww yeah. Sure he won't get long with his running, but he's definitely got a cannon for an arm and can definitely put the ball where he wants.

Yup. Not saying he's Brady 2.0, but he's definitely going to show everyone like Brady did that he was greatly overlooked and they dun goofed.

I've always liked Russell Wilson, but I don't think he takes the starting job from Flynn for a while. I know Flynn is having some problems but you don't pay a guy that much money to be a backup. He might be a decent starter one day, but saying he is better than Luck, is just being a homer..

Luck = future GOAT, so please just stop with these ridiculous statements.

Caught me red handed :(. I'll admit I'm being a little homer right now but I mostly made the thread title as is to attract attention, I probably could have came up with a better title. Yeah this game they made Flynn do mostly short passes and move the chains. Obviously they were trying more things out with Wilson and seeing with what he can do. I have no doubts Luck will have a great career, definitely smart and has a good work ethic. Final summation, Wilson > Luck :D

Did you guys realize that predicting how successful an NFL quarterback will be is kinda silly? It's a complete crapshoot whether you're looking a #1 pick or a guy like Brady when they were drafted. Just watch and be quiet.

I liked Russell Wilson a lot, I thought he would have been a perfect fit for the Eagles. I think the Eagles probably thought the same thing, but Seattle made a smart move drafting him in the third round. However, Wilson won't start this year and possibly even the next due to the money they spent on Matt Flynn. I think they're going to let him get the first crack at it.

I know they were both listed as 6 foot, but if you put Wilson next to them you won't notice a height difference..

iamgenus
08-13-2012, 10:17 AM
Not that 1 inch is a huge difference or anything but usually if they list a guy at a certain height he's either at most that or shorter. Brees is listed at 6'0, Wilson at 5'11.

Listin Fran Tarkenton isn't exactly a good comparison. Guy played a long time ago when it was rare to find an offensive/defensive lineman over 275 lbs.

But really if a guy like Doug Flutie can play well certainly height isn't that big of a deal.

I don't see him starting or playing this season unless flynn and TJ blow it and they have no shot att he playoffs. We'll see him starting and playing wel in his 2nd/3rd year. Dude's not the typical rookie QB, played some minor league baseball and more mature than most. I watched him play at wisconsin a lot being a B1G fan, and hes got a great arm.

If we're talking about underrated rookie QBs now, Brock Osweiler should be in the discussion. Developing behind Peyton Manning, has all the physical tools already, Manning can give him some football knowledge.

6 Foot 7 242 lbs, but a terrific athlete as well, almost could compare his scrambling to big ben, but faster.

Since the Colts had the 1st pick in the draft, it would stand to reason they were the worst team going into the the draft. The Seahawks would have had the 12th pick in that draft, trades not withstanding.

Wilson has a drastically better team surrounding him.

wilson posted THE LOWEST QBR OF ALL TIME for a playoff run that made it to the superbowl (even worse than Rex grosmens) ** qbr not qb rating.

I could've led the Seehawks to the superbowl. The defense and special teams scored more than wilson in the superbowl.

In fact THE ONLY reason people even doubted them was their offense. Wilson is a glorified Alex smith

luck will retire with more passing yards and more tds than wilson. Deal with it
